Coco Gallery Night Featuring New Orleans Inspired Artist Riece Walton - March 7 2008

Riece Walton at Coco for Pensacola Gallery Night - March 7th 2008

"Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?" -- Her jazz halls, her Churches, Lucky Dogs and the Zulu King.  Coco Gallery's latest installation, Do You Know What It Means by New Orleans native Riece Walton does. Evident in each brushstroke, these large colorful canvases pay homage to the city he loves and evokes warm memories of what makes New Orleans "the most unique city in America."

The Exhibit, on display at the Coco Gallery, located at 222 North Baylen Street, will open with an artist reception during Pensacola Gallery Night, Friday, March 7, 2008 from 6pm-9pm. Walton's paintings will remain on display through the beginning of May 2008.

A native of St. Charles Parish and now living in Pensacola, Florida. Riece's favorite subject matter is painting the southern culture and New Orleans scenes. As he explains it, "I paint scenes of New Orleans to remind me of happy times and the very unique city in which I was so fortunate to grow up. I paint to bring New Orleans to me. I do know what it means to miss her."
