P. Jay Massey, President/CEO of Coco Design Associates presented Governor Charlie Crist with a "Pensacola is a Paradise" statuette during the recent Team Florida trade mission to São Paulo, Brazil. Massey met with the governor during the Welcome Reception hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, Clifford M. Sobel.

"It was an honor to be a delegate representing the Pensacola area on the Team Florida trade mission," Massey said. "As a Panhandle native, I felt it was important to share something with our new governor truly representative of Pensacola. Governor Crist graciously accepted the gift on behalf of the State of Florida," Massey continued.

The "Pensacola is a Paradise" figurine presented to the governor is a six inch replica of the original, full-size Pelicans in Paradise statue on display as part of the Pensacola public art project developed by the Pensacola News Journal to benefit student literacy.
