Wes Rogers

Web Applications Specialist

Other than "hacking" Ruby on Rails all day long, Wes spends a good amount of time in the systems administration world. He says that "It's quite fun when everything works." Developing new products in Rails includes many other aspects other than just writing code, such as, setting up web servers, mongrel servers, and HTTP proxies.

Ever since Wes was 12, he has been interested (maybe even obsessed) in computers. And by the time he started learning HTML, he knew this was what he wanted to do. He started working professionally at age 18 for a company named OIS Media in Pensacola, FL OIS Media is responsible for pensacolajobs.com and many other job-related web sites. OIS is where Wes acquired experience in ColdFusion. After that, Wes came to Coco looking for a different field of web development. He then left Coco for a short while, to work for a local web development firm that worked for the state of Florida. At this firm, Wes' team utilized ASP.net along with Microsoft (TM). Ultimately Wes just couldn't get Coco out of his system and he came back.
